A SECTION of the M73 is to close for seven nights for works.
The northbound and southbound carriageways will close overnight from Tuesday, October 18 between Junction 1 Maryville and Junction 2 Baillieston.
This is to install traffic loop detectors and for bridge joint works.
Link roads to the M8 and M74 will also be affected.
Signed diversions will be in place.
Work will be carried out in two phases, starting with the southbound carriageway which will close from October 18 to October 21.
Next, the northbound carriageway will close between midnight and 6am on Tuesday, October 25, and between 8pm and 6am on Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27.
What roads are affected?
The following closures will be in place from October 18 to 21:
M8 eastbound link road to M73 southbound at Junction 8 Baillieston
M73 southbound Junction 2 Baillieston on slip road from Baillieston roundabout
M73 southbound link road to M74 northbound & off slip road to A721 (A74) Daldowie at Junction 1 Maryville
M73 southbound link road to M74 southbound at Junction 1 Maryville
The following closures will be in place between October 25 and 27:
M74 northbound link road to M73 northbound at Junction 4 Maryville
M74 southbound link road to M73 northbound at Junction 4 Maryville
M73 northbound on slip road from Daldowie
M73 northbound link road to M8 westbound at Junction 2 Baillieston
M73 northbound Junction 2 Baillieston off slip road for Baillieston roundabout
