A MAN was rushed to hospital after being seriously hurt during an alleged "disturbance" in Paisley last night.

Cops were called to Renfrew Road at 7.30pm and taped part of it off to carry out investigations. 

A 48-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

He is now described as being in a "stable" condition.

Traffic was still being diverted away from the area at 9.30pm. 

A 45-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. 

Cops say she is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 7.30pm on Monday, October 10, to a report of a disturbance in Renfrew Road, Paisley.

“A 48-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries where his condition is described as stable.

“A 45-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.”
