Lidl has plans for a new store in Glasgow on the doorstep of one of the big supermarket giants.
The chain has more than a dozen stores around the city - including in the city centre, Maryhill, Springburn, Possilpark, Shawlands and Nitshill - and has plans for the new store in the West End.

The new store is planned for a retail unit beside the Morrisons superstore.
Lidl has applied to Glasgow’s licensing board for an off-sales licence for the premises at 868 Crow Road.
The premises used to be home to Mothercare before the babywear and equipment firm closed its stores across the country.
Lidl said it will be releasing further details on the store and the opening soon.
