POLICE have provided an update after football fans swarmed Glasgow city centre last night.
Supporters, believed to be following AFC Ajax, marched through the streets and gathered in George Square, ahead of the Champions League match against Rangers.
A police helicopter had been dispatched and was seen hovering over the area for several hours.

Police Scotland has since confirmed no arrests were made during the march.

Red flares were also set off as supporters chanted and banged on drums.
Ajax supporters again released pyrotechnics as they watched their team take on Rangers at Ibrox Stadium.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side officially went down as the worst-ever side to compete in the Champions League group stages after six defeats in six games.
Last night's match finished 3-1 to Ajax.
No arrests were made during the match.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "There were no arrests yesterday evening in relation to the Rangers v Ajax football match.
"A proportionate policing plan was put in place to ensure public safety and the match passed off without incident."
