SCOTTISH singer Callum Beattie will be performing at Glasgow’s Christmas light switch-on event.
Glasgow Loves Christmas is bringing the popular event back to George Square on Sunday, November 20, for the first time since 2019, to launch the city’s festive celebrations.
The 10,600 lucky ticket holders are being encouraged to get there early for “an unmissable night of entertainment”.

Entry gates will open at 4.30pm before singers, actors and comedy performers take to the stage to spread Christmas cheer as part of an action-packed programme hosted by Clyde 1 presenters George Bowie and Cassi Gillespie.
Doors close at 6.30pm.
The festive fun starts at 5pm with the Little Mix Magic tribute act, followed by performances from Berrie Big Band and Soul Nation Choir, with a crowd sing-along and comedy segment in between.
Santa Claus himself will also stop off to greet the Glasgow crowd ahead of a performance from ‘Salamander Street’ singer Callum Beattie.
The Christmas lights will be switched on at 7pm, as a firework display is set off simultaneously above Glasgow City Chambers.
Ticket holders are advised to dress appropriately for the conditions.
