Horrified neighbours have reacted after a car drove into a house in Bishopbriggs.
Emergency crews, including police and the fire service, rushed to John Marshall Drive at around 9.45pm after the smash last night.
Now the shocked community have spoken as cops launch an investigation into the incident.
They saw a “flame explosion” after the vehicle struck the building and went on fire, raising alarm bells.
“Scared” neighbours heard people shouting and called 999 before police arrived on the scene and taped off the area.
Pictures of the aftermath showed the home boarded up with smoke damage on the outside.
They also showed leftover car debris, a smashed window, a broken wall and path, as well as tire tracks in the garden.
The front door was also boarded up as a result of the smash and parts of the car were put in a wheelie bin.
There were no injuries.
The force is probing the crash and is urging anyone with any information to contact them.
One person said: “I heard a bang then saw loads of flames, I couldn’t believe it. The car drove right into the house.”
Another said: “I’m glad there were no injuries because when I looked out the window I was really scared. There was a big fire and I heard people shouting.”
Another added: “I was at home when I heard a big thud. A car had driven through my neighbour's house. It was really alarming, there was a flame explosion.”
