THE Glasgow Times will be spreading Christmas cheer across the city as part of our vital Bank on Us campaign.
For the fourth consecutive year of running the festive campaign, we are encouraging our readers to get involved in a food drive.
We have partnered with dozens of food banks across Glasgow and beyond, to ensure no-one goes hungry this Christmas.
Paper bags will be inserted into every copy of the Glasgow Times on Wednesday, November 30 - one week today.
Readers who are able to donate are being asked to fill the bags and hand them into one of our partner food banks or at our print centre at Glasgow East Investment Park.
The bags handed into our print centre will be distributed to our food bank partners, who will hand the items out to those in need this festive season, along with the items donated directly to them.
This year, our Christmas campaign is more important than ever due to the current cost-of-living crisis.

Thousands of families are struggling to heat their homes and put food on the table. As well as the food drive, the Glasgow Times will also be raising funds for our Bank on Us toy drive.
Last year, our toy bank brought in around £15,000 in donations which delivered around 100,000 gifts to the city’s most vulnerable children.
This year we are back to support families at Christmas by aiming for every child in Glasgow to open a present on December 25.
We are hoping for our readers, nurseries, schools, and businesses to get behind the campaign by donating.
All proceeds raised will be used to purchase toys, which will be distributed to charities around the city.
They will then be handed out to parents and put under the tree for children to wake up to on Christmas morning.
Stacey Mullen, the assistant editor of the Glasgow Times, said: “The Glasgow Times is proud to continue our Bank on Us campaign and support city food banks during the cost-of-living crisis.
“We know through serving our communities how hard food banks work to help some of the city’s most vulnerable.
“We hope through this campaign, our readers can ensure that their stock levels are boosted in time for Christmas.
“It is also a privilege to run a separate Christmas toy appeal to help struggling families over the festive period.”
The Bank on Us 2022 campaign is kindly sponsored by Arnold Clark, Storage Vault, and Step Change.
We will be speaking with our sponsors over the next couple of weeks, as well as those in charge of running the food banks.
