THE daughter of Rangers legend Gordon Smith has revealed she got married to her best friend during an "intimate" ceremony. 

Libby Smith took to Instagram to share the news with her thousands of followers. 

The fitness instructor shared a photo of herself in a white dress and veil whilst clutching a bouquet of red roses.

In a post yesterday, Libby wrote: "JUST MARRIED! Today, I celebrate my birthday as a wife for the first time.

"On Tuesday, 22.11.22, I married my best friend in an intimate, romantic elopement with just our witnesses present.

"To say, 'I do' and commit our love and life to each other was more special than I ever expected! It was such a magical day.

"It meant so much to me to be given my grandmother’s wedding ring, that has her and my papa’s name engraved inside, along with their wedding date from 1945. 

"We cannot wait to celebrate our love with everybody soon at our reception, and I can finally wear my dream dress. 

"The biggest thank you to everybody who was involved in my big day..."
