SIR Rod Stewart honoured Celtic’s Lisbon Lions as part of his jam-packed show at the OVO Hydro last night.
The Hoops-daft singer is well-known for paying tribute to the football team in his song ‘You’re in My Heart’.
And last night, in true Rod style, he sang the tune whilst a photo of the 1967 squad covered the backdrop of the stage.

Shortly before, he revealed that two ladies from his talented band were pregnant and joked to one of them, “if it’s a boy he’ll play for the Celts”.
Rod delighted thousands of his fans during the lively performance at the packed venue, as part of his UK tour.
It was his first time performing at the Hydro in more than three years.
Rod has hit the road with a string of shows filled with famous classics as well as some new hits, following the release of his latest album The Tears of Hercules last year.
The 77-year-old performed a two-hour set, singing a total of two dozen songs including Maggie May, Baby Jane, Grace, You Wear It Well, Addicted to Love, Da Ya Think I’m Sexy, and more.
He was joined by several other talented musicians who formed his beloved band including guitarists, drummers, violinists, saxophonists and more.
During a break, he sarcastically told the audience: “Do you know something? I come to Glasgow more times than any other city, I wonder why?”
Throughout his performance, Rod used the full length of the stage, encouraged the audience to get involved and showed off his crazy dance moves.
He also showed his love for Scotland during a costume change, as his dancers took part in some Highland dancing whilst Scottish folk music played in the background.
Rod changed outfit four times, sporting a silver suit jacket, a zebra print jacket, as well as a black sparkly suit jacket.
He also wore a blue shirt along with a yellow suit jacket, as he dedicated Rhythm of My Heart to “the brave Ukrainians”.
The singer said: “So you’ll see I’m actually wearing the colours of the Ukrainian flag. You’ll know this next song was written about the Vietnam War, and it could be associated with 20 wars, so I’d like to dedicate this one tonight to the brave Ukrainians.”
Support was provided by Johnny Mac & The Faithful - a Celtic-folk and rock band from Glasgow.
A second Glasgow date was added to the tour so Rod will again be playing at the OVO Hydro on Saturday, December 3.
Tickets are still available.
