Senior citizens from across Glasgow were treated to a Christmas dinner at the City Chambers as the Lord Provost’s Lunch event returned to the festive calendar.
The first event in a week of lunches took place on Monday with schoolchildren in the city providing entertainment.
Almost 200 people were welcomed to the Grand Banqueting Hall in the chambers for the lunch.
The events will continue for the rest of this week providing a lunch and entertainment for more than 800 of the city’s older people.
Jaqueline McLaren, Lord Provost, said: “It was great to have the pensioners’ lunch back in the City chambers this week.
“With plenty of entertainment for guests as well as a festive lunch and even a visit from Santa himself. It’s a great afternoon out for our senior citizens of Glasgow.”
Pupils from St Anne’s Primary kept the diners entertained with a selection of Christmas carols.
