Kelvingrove Park

Kelvingrove Park in the city's upmarket West End is a scenic route perfect for embracing that winter aesthetic.

The park is surrounded on some sides by towering gothic structures such as Glasgow University and Kelvingrove Art Gallery, making it a suitable place for some winter walking.

The park itself has an art deco-style bandstand and a number of winding paths that allow you to add a bit of variety to your walks.

Being close to dozens of coffee shops means that you can come in from the cold and warm up after your journey.

Glasgow Green

Glasgow Green to the city's east is a similarly large green space with plenty of room to roam about.

The site hosts Nelson's monument as well as the People's Palace which tells the story of Glasgow from the industrial revolution to modern times.

If you're wanting some views of the Clyde, then Glasgow Green has you covered as it borders the river that helped make the city famous.

Pollok​ Country Park

Pollok Park is a huge location complete with woodlands, walking paths, and well-kept gardens, Highland Coos, and is home to the Burrell Collection.

Pollok Park is also in the heart of the southside, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or a coffee in and around Shawlands after your walk.

Queen's Park

Queen's Park offers an enjoyable walk and unique experience in the winter months.

The park is built on top of the remains of an old Iron Age fort allowing walkers to wander through a place steeped in history.

Near the centre of the site is Queen's Park Flagpole which is a mound offering stunning views of the city, allowing walkers to see Glasgow during the winter months.
