Neil Lennon is adamant that any potential sale of Josip Juranovic will not impact on Celtic’s title charge.

The Croatian right-back is believed to be attracting interest from clubs all over Europe, including Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United and Roma.

His form since joining the Hoops during Ange Postecoglou’s first transfer window led to several teams scouting the 27-year-old.

However, his more recent performances at the World Cup with his country has sparked further interest.

With Alistair Johnston already signed ahead of the January window opening, it seems Celtic have bought their replacement for Juranovic early.

While nothing is set in stone in terms of a departure, Lennon expects the defender to exit his former club.

But he does not think it will have any bearing on Celtic’s tilt for the title.

He told Football Odds: “Juranovic was outstanding in the World Cup. Against Brazil he was one of Croatia’s best players and that is the highest level you can play at. He is someone that is sought after and with Celtic bringing in the Canadian right-back, it is a sign that Juranovic will leave the club.

“He’s good enough for the Premier League and any of the top clubs in Europe, but it is difficult to put a price tag on him as it is all down to what the buying club wants to pay. Celtic will try to get a large sum for him, but it looks like it is all set up for him to leave during this window.

“Losing Juranovic will not threaten Celtic’s title hopes. Ralston has been a revolution since Ange has come in, and he's a solid right-back. The Canadian who has come in is also a good player. While you don’t want to lose your better players, Celtic have already done their business and have two right-backs who can stand in for him.”
