SCOTTISH actor Martin Compston is enjoying global success with his new thriller The Rig.
The Amazon Prime drama, which follows a group of workers on a remote Scottish oil rig who are trapped when a mysterious fog enshrouds them and sparks a chain of supernatural events, has shot to the top of the streaming giant's charts in the UK and abroad.
It was the most-watched show in Britain over the weekend, as well as Prime's top show in America, Germany and a string of other countries.

The proud Greenock man's accent was clearly a hit with fans everywhere too, as the spooky six-part show was the service's second most popular show in places as far away as Australia.
Martin has thanked his near-550,000 Twitter followers for their support.
He said: "Thanks for all the lovely messages coming in about The Rig, and thanks to everyone for tuning in. It really means a lot."
