MARTI PELLOW has praised a young Glasgow artist for topping the charts.
Joesef revealed that his debut album Permanent Damage was number one on the iTunes album chart yesterday, after being released just days before on January 13.
He wrote: "Number 1 on iTunes yous are all mad ffs."
Marti Pellow, the former lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, congratulated Joesef, who was brought up in Garthamlock in Glasgow's East End.

The 57-year-old star, who is now a solo artist, was recorded saying: "Josef. Number one on the iTunes charts. Well done, son. That's exactly where you should be. Yessss, great artist from Glasgow. Fantastic."

Josef revealed his "maw" and aunties were "blowing up his phone" following the shout-out.
He called Marti a legend, before replying to him directly saying: "cheers big man x x x x".
