CUSTOMERS of a coffee shop in Paisley have shared their devastation following news it will be shutting down.

Hundreds of people and other local businesses have since sent messages of support to bosses and staff at the popular cafe.

YWAM Paisley wrote: "Blend has had such a positive impact on this community in so many ways, and will be sorely missed. Blessings on each of the staff as they move to other things."
Skirlies Cafe Paisley said: "Sorry to hear this, things are really tough right now, uncertain times ahead."
Regular customers have even asked if the decision could be reversed somehow.
One person said: "Is there any way at all this can be turned around? I rarely go out but I know if I do, it's Blend I choose for your comforting, warm non-judgemental embrace. Is it too late?"
Another customer even offered to help fundraise.
She said: "Is there any way that we could maybe do some fundraising so you wouldn’t have to close? Your place has been amazing for so many people growing up in Paisley and I want to do everything I can to stop you guys shutting down as I’m sure many in the community do too."
Another added: "I'm so heartbroken. Is there nothing that we as your customers can do to help? Paisley won't be the same without you guys. We as a community should be able to come together to support you. Nicest coffee shop I've ever been to and it's such a recent discovery. Even my little dog loves to visit because she likes the cheese on the "Cheesy one". Sending you guys big love."
Meanwhile, others shared their favourite memories and the things they liked most about the shop.
One person said: "This is so sad. When we first moved to Paisley eight years ago we found your gem of a coffee shop and ventured down weekly with the pram with our wee boy. He's now seven and we come in every Saturday for a milkshake whilst his sister is at dance class. He'll be devastated as he loves them! You'll all be sorely missed! Good luck for the future."
Another added: "So sad to hear this news, you will all be sorely missed. You have been my refuge every Saturday after work, and my Wednesday day off. I have many happy memories of the refuge you have provided the people of Paisley."
