Lewis Capaldi has surprised a girl who is fighting cancer with a special video.
Evia Paterson was stunned after her Glasgow-born hero sent her a video message saying he was “excited to play for her”.
The eight-year-old is the “Someone You Loved” singer’s biggest fan and was treated to tickets to his sold-out Hyrdo show by the John O’ Byrne Foundation.
The charity helps Scotland’s sickest kids and wanted to cheer the schoolgirl up as she battles sarcoma cancer for the second time.

The youngster was diagnosed in 2018 and after treatment got the all-clear for three years, only for the cruel condition to return in August 2022.
Now she has been left delighted after Lewis reached out and even sent her his printed setlist from the show and guitar plectrum he used on Tuesday, January 24.
Eva’s mum Jenna Blair, 33, told the Glasgow Times: “She was so happy to get the video, she couldn’t even speak.
“She is honestly his biggest fan, so to get the sold-out tickets was amazing.
“At the show we just cried from the minute we got there to the minute we left, it was such a special night and memory for us.
“John O’Byrne’s foundation is so amazing, the stuff they do is incredible, Eve loves John so much.”
Eva attended the concert with mum Jenna and was thrilled to find out she would also be staying overnight in the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.
The schoolgirl is desperate to meet the Lewis Capaldi and hopes her dream will come true.
John O’Byrne said: “It gave her a bit of normality which she deserves, the concert wasn’t about hospitals or being sick it was just about her having fun.
“We can all take that for granted but for kids like Eva it is just so special and exactly why my charity is here.
“She is a wee character and seeing her enjoy herself makes it all worth it, she really loved every minute.
“Eva’s dream is to meet Lewis Capaldi one day and I really would love to make that happen, he is the man of the minute right now so hard to track down.
“I would love to get them together one day.”
