A Glasgow shop owner is sad to close his “goldmine” western store after 38 years.
Amin Azam is shutting Skin Style clothing shop which has loyal customers from “all over the UK”.
The boss is almost 80-years-old and has decided to retire “on a high” as the cost-of-living crisis looms over him.
He told the Glasgow Times while the shop has remained busy with loyal customers, he has noticed people have less money to spend since the coronavirus pandemic and inflation peaks.

Now he has launched a major sale and plans to close the doors to the city centre shop at the end of February.
Amin said: “I am sad to be shutting the shop after 38 years, I have enjoyed working here.
“It is a goldmine and an established business, I have loyal customers from all over the UK of people looking for western clothes.
“It is time for me to retire now and move on, I noticed it is slightly less busy because of inflation and I really want to end on a high.
“People have less money since the coronavirus pandemic, so I understand.
“The shop has always been really popular, I will miss it when it closes."
The shop is offering some real leather merchandise for 25% off along with other deals in store.
Amin hopes to flog all this stock so is encouraging customers to explore their inner cowboy and visit the shop He is also planning on visiting family in Pakistan after closing to enjoy the start of his retirement.
He opened Skin Style in Glasgow in 1985 after noticing a gap in the market for quality leather western wear.
Since then he has made “many friends” and loved his job at the High Street store but is now excited for his next chapter.
He is hoping new owners will seek to buy the shop and “modernise” it to keep his loyal customers happy.
Amin said: “I have really enjoyed working in the shop, I have made many friends.
“I would love a husband and wife to come take over the shop and buy it from me.
“That is my goal, I would give them a good price and my customers would be happy.
“When I told people I am closing so many said ‘no don’t do that please’ because it is so popular and there is nowhere else like it.
“I am hoping to go to Pakistan after I close to see my family and enjoy time with them.”
