A CYCLIST who died after being hit by a lorry in Glasgow has been named by police.
Emma Newman, 22, from Moulineaux, Paris, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the crash on Broomielaw on Friday morning.
She passed away a short time later.
999 crews were called shortly after 10am following the incident, which took place at the junction with the King George V Bridge.

The road was closed to allow for crash investigation work and re-opened hours later at 7.25pm.
Police are today appealing for information following the fatal crash.
Sergeant Paul Mellis said: “Our thoughts are with Emma’s family and friends and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened and who has not yet spoken to officers to get in touch, particularly if you have dash-cam that could assist with our investigation.”
