Celtic have reportedly knocked back a loan bid from a League Two side for young striker Joey Dawson.
Newport County are said to have had an approached booted out by the Scottish champions.
Football Scotland claim the 19-year-old was wanted by Newport to boost their attacking options for the remaining six-months of the season.
However, it's stated that the Hoops are not keen to sanction the move.
Celtic B are going great guns in the Lowland League. Dawson had played a big role in that success, hence why they are not keen to let him go out on loan.
Inverness were also hopeful of a loan swoop for Dawson earlier in this window.
However, it would appear that the teenager is going nowhere before tomorrow night's deadline.
READ MORE: Sheffield Wednesday 'enquire' over Celtic defender Stephen Welsh
Celtic defender Stephen Welsh is the subject of interest from an English League One side, according to a report.
It's been said that Sheffield Wednesday have made an enquiry about the young central defender.
The 22-year-old has had limited game time so far this campaign, with just six appearances to date.
Welsh has fallen way down the pecking order with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and now Yuki Kobayashi in front of him in the centre-half position.
The report states they have been in touch with the Scottish champions to gauge the possibility of a six-month loan deal until the end of the season.
Should the Hoops give the move the green light, it would likely go down to the wire to get it over the line ahead of tomorrow night's deadline.
Welsh is believed to be keen to play more first team football while still at a developing stage of his career.
