A HERD of cows have been spotted making their way along a busy road in Airdrie.
The animals, who are believed to have escaped from a nearby farm, were walking down Braidenhill Road this morning, near a residential housing estate.
Photos sent to the Glasgow Times show dozens of cows also blocking the main road, with cars waiting for them to pass.

One eyewitness said: "I just looked out my window and saw lots of cows. I couldn't actually believe it, to be honest.
"There are around thirty cows just walking along the main road and this is a busy road. It's around a lot of houses.
"Cars have been stopping to let them go past. They even tried to come into my estate at one point."
