A CITY school has a starring role in a new children’s comedy TV show.
The Glasgow Gaelic School is the location for the CBBC ALBA mockumentary An Sgoil (The School) which started this week.
The show follows a camera crew as it goes behind the scenes at a fictional school called Sgoil Taobh na Cloiche, and features a hapless headmaster, a zany French teacher and the battle between PE teacher Mrs Fullerton and her arch-nemesis Danny the Janny.

A spokesperson for BBC ALBA said the six-part series is aimed at “youngsters looking for some light relief after a long day at school - and for grown-ups whose own school days aren’t easily forgotten.”
An Sgoil is on BBC ALBA on Mondays at 6.25pm and on BBC iPlayer.
