A MAN was found to have a knife in his pocket after being stopped by cops.
Craig McCulloch, 31, was driving on Beech Road in Bishopbriggs when officers had reason to stop him on the night of August 27, 2021.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, procurator fiscal depute Laura Martin said: “The police had further reason to search the accused.

“A small folding knife was found in the back pocket of his shorts. He was arrested, cautioned, and charged and made no reply.”
McCulloch’s lawyer said his client has outstanding matters which are “of concern”.
Sheriff Diana McConnell said: “I think supervision would be beneficial in this case. Can he do unpaid work?”
The defence solicitor replied: “Yes.”
Sheriff McConnell told McCulloch: “The court takes this sort of offence very seriously. You don’t have a record, but the court takes carrying a knife seriously.
“I’m satisfied I can deal with this by way of an alternative to custody.”
The Tollcross man was ordered to carry out 108 hours of unpaid work and be under social work supervision for one year.
