A community supermarket near Glasgow is set to close for a year to undergo a massive renovation.
Morrisons announced on Wednesday that the Bishopbriggs location would close on Saturday, February 18 to undergo "an exciting transformation".
The store is located in the heart of Bishopbriggs town centre and is the preferred place for a big shop for many residents.
From Sunday, February 19, residents will be able to purchase essentials from a new 2200 square foot Morrisons Daily shop which will be located at a new petrol station.

For customers wanting a bigger selection, the nearest shop is Asda Bishopbriggs located about 16 minutes walk away or about 10 minutes commute on public transport.
The nearest Morrisons is located on Auchinlea Way in Easterhouse.
We spoke to members of the community to hear what they thought about the revamp.
Peter Murray, 79, from Bishopbriggs, was concerned about the extra distance he will have to travel while the renovation is underway.
He said: "It’s further to walk now for me, I don’t drive.
“I can go to Asda, it’s an option, but it’s farther.”
Thomas Warren, from Milton, claimed that the new shop would be good for the community.
The 75-year-old said: "I think the community could do with a new Morrisons, a larger Morrisons, so I’m okay with it.”
Pamela Warren, 39, added: “I think it’s good that we’re getting a bigger store, I think it will benefit the area.”
Moira Callaghan, from Bishopbriggs, described it as a "wee bit inconvenient" but something that had to be done for the community.
The 75-year-old, who did not wish to be pictured, said: "But we’ll miss Morrisons, it’s nice and handy.
"We’ll have to go across to Easterhouse or down to Glasgow Cross, or Asda, which I don’t like.”
James Callaghan, 75, said: "I like the cold meats in the Morrisons, we’ll miss it.”
He added that he was "excited" about the larger shop coming in and that "it will make a difference."
Raymond Grant, from Bishopbriggs, claimed that the renovation could take less than a year.
The 70-year-old said: "I think it’s just being closed down for nine or 10 months.
"I think they’re going to make it bigger and I think they will make the choice much better for the customer.
“I’m upset because it’s closing, but I’ll just go to Asda. And once it’s opened up, I’ll go back.
“There are things in Morrisons you can't get in Asda. The bread is pretty good.”
Samantha Donnelly, 27, from Bishopbriggs, claimed that a lot of people in the community relied on the shop.
She said: “It will be missed in the community because there’s a lot of older generations and they depend on it, to be honest.”
