Steven Gerrard has emerged as the early favourite for the Southampton job.
The former Rangers boss is priced at 3/1 to take over after Nathan Jones was sacked.
Gerrard - who was sacked by Aston Villa last year - was previously been linked with Everton and the Poland national team.
Now, Skybet have priced Gerrard as the frontrunner to take over at St Mary's.
Jones - only appointed in November - was relieved of his duties on Sunday after a 2-1 defeat to ten-man Wolves.
And Gerrard could be the man appointed with the aim to steer Southampton clear of relegation with the club sitting bottom of the league.

While Gerrard is favourite at 3/1, recently sacked Leeds boss Jesse Marsch follows closely behind at 4/1.
Marcelo Gallardo is priced at 6/1, Sam Allardyce at 8/1 with Mauricio Pochettino and Ruben Selles at 10/1.
Further back in the odds is Giovanni van Bronckhorst who is a major outsider at 50/1 for the job.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou also features in the odds list at 16/1 to make the move down south.
A club statement read: "Southampton Football Club can confirm it has parted company with Men’s First Team Manager Nathan Jones.
"First Team Coaches Chris Cohen and Alan Sheehan have also left the club.
"First Team Lead Coach Rubén Sellés will take charge of training and prepare the team ahead of next weekend’s game against Chelsea."
