TRIBUTES have been paid to a pensioner who died following a road crash.
David Gow was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision in Balmore Road yesterday around 6.15pm.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested following the incident, which also involved an off-road motorbike.
Now tributes have been paid to the 79-year-old pedestrian, known affectionately as Davie, and his family, with friends describing the father as a "great wee guy".

One wrote: "Sorry to hear about Davie, sad news. Condolences to the Gow family."
Another said: "So sad, tragic news. My thoughts are with the family."
While another added: "So, so sad - my stepdad's best pal. Thoughts are with all the family. RIP Davie."
"So so sorry to hear about Davie known him for about 45 years or more. Condolences to his family," one said.
The area surrounding the incident was closed around the junction of Ashgill Road and Hillend Road until late last night.

Sergeant Roy McCarney said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We are working to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and I would urge anyone who may have information to come forward.
"We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area around the time of the collision.
“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2843 of February 12.”
