Traffic will be diverted via Barrhead Road, Barrhead roundabout and Peat Road with drivers warned to allow extra time for their travels.

Pedestrian access will be maintained but some bus services are expected to be affected Signage has also appeared on nearby Netherplace Road which confirms the street is only available for local access and can no longer be used to reach Barrhead Road.

Scottish Water said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected road users in advance for their patience and understanding.

"The road closure will enable us to carry out important work to install sections of water main as part of the Glasgow Resilience Project."
