Love Island star Laura Anderson has responded to criticism after revealing her pregnancy.

The 33-year-old, who is originally from Stirling but lives in Glasgow, recently announced that she was expecting her first child with former partner Gary Lucy.

She and the Hollyoaks actor, who has four children with his ex-wife, met on the E4 reality dating series Celebs Go Dating in 2022.

But since breaking the news, the reality star has taken to social media to defend her situation amid "abuse".

Glasgow Times:

On her Instagram story, she wrote: "If anyone writes anything negative re my pregnancy you will be blocked.

"Nobody on here except my family and friends knows the reality regarding the past few months of my life because I don't comment on press articles or give details of any other party.

"I will never play the victim even in my vulnerable state. I'm simply moving on with my life with my head held high.

"I do not appreciate abuse at a time I am trying my best to protect myself and my unborn child. Please think before typing."

“I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”
