VOLUNTEERS have been urged to lend a hand at food banks.
Charities based in the north-west of Glasgow have reported a recent increase in the number of people using the service, with fears demand will only grow as the Easter school holidays approach.

Staff have urged anyone who can spare some time to get in touch while donations are also desperately needed to help the centres cope with the current cost of living crisis.
Drumchapel food bank, North West food bank, North West Community pantry, Well Fed pantry, and Anyiso are looking for extra support through either donations or manpower.
