A GLASGOW woman who appeared on Love Island has revealed how long the dramatic re-coupling took as she reflected on her time on the show.
Lydia Karakyriakou appeared on the current ITV series as a Casa Amor bombshell but was dumped along with four other girls after not being picked by the boys in the villa.
After landing back in the UK, the 22-year-old took part in a question-and-answer session on Instagram with her 45k followers.
She explained that her favourite part of being in the villa was the bond she ended up having with the other Casa Amor girls, and mentioned how they all "clicked instantly".
When asked how long the re-coupling took, Lydia revealed: "Nah, I don't think you understand, this re-coupling was HOURS long. Hours long.
"Us poor girls were standing there in our heels, the South African wind hitting us very harshly. We were all really cold.
"And yeah, that probably tipped us over the edge because we'd all been dumped, we were freezing, we were tired and our feet were killing us."
Lydia was also asked if she felt used by Tom, who she connected with during her time in the villa.

However, during the re-coupling, Tom decided to "stick" with Samie, who he was already coupled up with.
Lydia said: "I don't really know, I mean, I think parts of me did feel a wee bit used. I do think we obviously got on really well.
"But I just think the way that he handled the situation made me feel a bit s**t, to be honest.
"And then obviously when Samie had told me the kind of comments he was making, I did feel a wee bit used then because I was just like you don't need to say or do things like that to sort things with Samie, I feel like he could have went about it a bit nicer, but no hate, I'm still rooting for them.
"I actually do like them together. But yeah, it is what it is isn't it."
