A former pub in Airdrie could be converted into a convenience store if councillors approve the building’s change of use.
The Drumgelloch Bar in Forrest Street is the subject of a planning application to convert it into a food retailer, and North Lanarkshire Council will decide whether to allow this.

The proposals include making a number of alterations to the building, allowing for the creation of shop aisles to replace the current layout.
The council has responded to the applicant stating a decision can be expected by April 21.
