NICOLA Sturgeon's elderly parents have been targeted at their home, it has been revealed by her sister.
Gillian Sturgeon said the abuse faced by the family has been "so bad" over the past week following the news of the First Minister's resignation.
She claimed that her elderly parents, who are in their 70s, had a t-shirt with a photo of Nicola saying 'I identify as unemployed' posted through their letterbox.

In a post on her Facebook account, Gillian wrote: "She’s resigned. She’s no longer a thorn n your side so STAY AWAY from my parents !!!!!!!!!. I am fuming. Police informed."
It is believed police are looking into the incident.
Hundreds of people left messages of support following the news.
Gillian wrote: "Thanks folks. This abuse been so bad last week. They are trying to get one last dig but to target my poor parents makes me livid !!!!."
She went on to say: "I really worry for the 3 in running for FM. Their families won’t get peace x."
