MICHELLE McManus "can’t wait" to take to the stage and play a major festival this summer.
The Pop Idol winner and former Glasgow Times columnist will be performing at the Mighty Hoopla Pop Music Festival in London, leaving fans delighted.
She posted on social media this afternoon to her 25,700 followers on Twitter and shared a poster for the event.
The 42-year-old star, from Baillieston, will also be joined by other huge nostalgic names at the event including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the Vengaboys and Rachel Stevens.

The festival takes place at Brockwell Park on June 3 to 4.
Michelle performed at the Mighty Hoopla’s Big Weekender last month in West Sussex.
She sat down for an interview with the festival ahead of the show and told them how "her singing career was over before it began” all because she “didn’t look like a pop star”.
Speaking about how she is now a radio presenter, the mum-of-two said: “It’s been so lovely because if I’d just relied on the singing I probably wouldn’t even be talking to you right now.
“I won the show all those years ago, everything [has] changed since then with The X Factor and social media.
“I never looked like a popstar, I was never going to sell loads of merchandise, and it was just such a different time.
“There wasn’t a lot for me to do, so my singing career ended before it began.
“I just took this opportunity from being on the biggest TV show and really quickly got into TV presenting and radio, and it’s all just been so good for me.”
Now the star is set to storm the stage again this summer after smashing her performance earlier this year.
When asked by festival organisers about how fans have rallied round her relaunching her singing career two decades after winning Pop Idol, she said: “It was overwhelming!
"It’s been 20 years, and these things all come round.
"People love to look back and see simpler times, especially at the moment when everything’s so difficult with the cost-of-living crisis and NHS.
“I was just so overwhelmed by how lovely everyone was, I couldn’t believe people had even picked my name out of the line up! I was honestly over the moon.”
The Mighty Hoopla said: “Following her magnificent comeback at our Big Weekender in January, we had to bring back Michelle McManus to continue her incredible McManussance.
“Michelle’s radiant positivity, iconic vocals and insane setlist is not to be missed.”
