PUPILS and staff at a North Lanarkshire school are celebrating this week following a positive inspection report.
A team from Education Scotland praised Carnbroe Primary in Coatbridge for its “strong relationships across the school and a willing staff team who have created a nurturing, inclusive climate for learning".
The inspectors also noted pupils are “confident children who demonstrate a good understanding of their school values” and “enthusiastic, engaged learners who support each other in class and provide leadership across the school".
The headteacher was applauded for providing “clear direction” and her senior leadership team was praised for offering “stability and reassurance during a period of challenge".

Inspectors also highlighted the quality of partnerships across the school and added: “Partners are supporting the work of the school by helping them strengthen teamwork and deepen the relationships with families. They provide high quality professional learning to help the senior leadership team and staff realise their vision for children.”
Areas for improvement identified by the inspection team and discussed with the headteacher and a representative from North Lanarkshire Council included a need for “greater consistency across the school with a clear focus on continuing to improve outcomes for all children”.
