A POPULAR cafe in Paisley has closed its doors for the final time. 

BLEND Coffee Lounge, on Causeyside Street, thanked customers for an "incredible" last day.

We previously reported that the much-loved cafe, that opened in 2015, was shutting down due to financial challenges.

Last night, bosses wrote: "And…that’s a wrap! Paisley, it has been a blast. What an incredible last day. So many people. So many stories.

"You have left us with so many memories, which we will hold onto for a lifetime.

We hope you enjoyed having us, as much as we enjoyed being with you! Into the future we go… #blend #paisley #community #family #finalday #coffee #memories." 

When announcing the news of the closure in January, manager Alan said: "Times, as everybody knows, have got challenging financially for many businesses and many individuals.

"It’s just not viable for us to remain open, but we don’t want to be sad about this.

"As much as we will grieve closing those doors for the last time, we also want to go out with a celebration." 

Hundreds of customers and local businesses shared their devastation following the news.
