A GLASGOW restaurant has closed after struggling to overcome 'significant difficulties'.
In another blow to the hospitality industry, American diner Steak, Cattle and Roll is the latest city eatery to announce its closure due to struggles.
A spokesperson for the Merchant Square restaurant said that Brexit and the pandemic posed challenges for the business.
They thanked all of their staff and customers for their continued support over the years.
The team also urged people to support local businesses which are trying to survive during such 'difficult times'.
Dozens of people have since reacted to the news, with one person commenting: "No this is so sad. We haven’t been in for a while and were just saying it was time for a wee visit."
Another added: "Shocking, won't be the last, sad to see."
A third said: "Heartbreaking."
