A GLASGOW graduate who died in the Greek rail tragedy last month has been described as a ‘promising young singer’.
Elisavet Chatzivasileiou graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland two years ago.
Paying tribute to the young woman, the RCS posted on its social media pages: “It is with deep sadness that we share news of the death of recent RCS graduate Elisavet Chatzivasileiou.
“Elisavet was confirmed as one of the many casualties in the Greek rail accident at the start of this month.
“Elisavet (Eli) graduated from the BMus programme in July 2021. She was a very popular student and a promising young singer known to mahy of our gradates, current students and staff.
“Our thoughts are with Elisavet’s family and friends and this sad time and with all of you who knew her.”
Fifty-seven people died in the head-on collision between a passenger train and a goods train on February 28.
