A MAN has been charged with an alleged rape in Glasgow city centre.
We previously reported that cops were made aware of a reported serious sexual assault of a woman, aged 32, at Howard Street on Tuesday night.
Yesterday morning, officers had the area taped off.
It was revealed that a 23-year-old man was arrested.
He has since been charged and is due to appear in court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of a serious sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman in the Howard Street area of Glasgow around 8.20pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
"A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 16, 2023."
