TWO people were injured following a fire in Glasgow.
We previously reported that 999 crews were called to Saracen Street shortly before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.
Locals reported that a takeaway shop was on fire.
It has since been revealed that two people with minor injuries were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precaution.
Fire crews spent around six hours at the scene, with police assistance.
Part of the road was closed off.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.28pm on Thursday, March 16, to reports of a fire within a commercial premises on Saracen Street, Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised two fire appliances and one aerial appliance to the scene, where firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the ground floor of the building.

"Two casualties were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precautionary measure.
"Crews left at 10.28pm after ensuring the area was made safe."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
