PHOTOS show the damage caused to a takeaway in Glasgow following a blaze.
We previously reported that emergency services were called to Saracen Street yesterday at around 4.30pm after reports of a fire.
Images taken at the scene this afternoon show cops still in attendance, with the area surrounding Zayn's Tandoori closed off.
A metal fence has been put in front of the store's entrance, as debris is scattered along the ground.
Part of the shop's sign was burnt during the incident.
Several workers in hi-vis were seen in the area, as cops guarded the scene.
Police Scotland revealed this morning that it was called to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS). It has been contacted for an update.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.28pm on Thursday, March 16, to reports of a fire within a commercial premises on Saracen Street, Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised two fire appliances and one aerial appliance to the scene, where firefighters extinguished a fire affecting the ground floor of the building.
"Two casualties were handed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service as a precautionary measure.
"Crews left at 10.28pm after ensuring the area was made safe."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
