A DRUMCHAPEL school is celebrating following a glowing report from inspectors.
Camstradden Primary School and Nursery Class was praised by the Education Scotland team in a number of key areas.
The report noted pupils are “friendly and welcoming children who work well with other children and adults.”
It added: “They are proud of their school and enjoy talking about their learning and achievements."
Inspectors also commended “the very effective leadership of substantive and acting headteachers, supported well by the senior leadership team” and which is “leading to significant improvements across the school.”
The report continued: “Staff provide a calm and caring environment. They work well with partners to support children to make better progress in their learning.
“All staff show care and compassion and want the very best for the children of Camstradden Primary School. It is a kind, respectful, inclusive and nurturing school.”
Inspectors suggested two areas for improvement: that staff should “continue to develop approaches to ensure consistently high-quality learning and teaching across the school” and “continue to improve attainment in relation to expected national standards, particularly in writing.”
The full report is available on the Education Scotland website.
