Poundland bosses have confirmed the reopening date of one of their Glasgow stores after being newly kitted out.
Finishing touches are being added to the shop on Dumbarton Road in the city's Partick after it was previously forced to close in January 2022 when the lease was not renewed.
The Partick store will reopen on Saturday, March 25 in a move creating 12 jobs.
With a range of products suiting quick bites, top-up shops or last-minute buys, the store aims to bring convenience and value to local residents and commuters.
As well as Poundland’s core range of groceries, snacks, household products, health and beauty and batteries, customers will also find fresh fruit and vegetables, chilled and frozen food, bread and morning goods, hot pies and pastries, nappies and formula milk.
It will also offer a selection of Pep clothing as well as Pep home items.
Poundland's director of retail, Darren Kay, said: “We know how popular we were with local residents and, to be honest, we didn’t want to leave - so we are delighted that we managed to renegotiate the lease on the store.
“We can’t wait to open our doors again on Dumbarton Road.
"A slightly different format this time with a focus on convenience and of course amazing value set in a newly kitted out store.
"All of which is designed for maximum convenience and to allow customers to do more of their shopping in a single trip.
“It really will be a cracking example of the breadth of what we can offer in a really convenient location.
"We’ve worked hard to bring the very best of Poundland which in turn will help customers looking to beat the economic squeeze.”
Poundland is located at 412-418 Dumbarton Road, Partick, Glasgow.
