A HOME carer failed to wear PPE at the height of the pandemic and lied to a vulnerable patient in her care.
Donna Omozik was working in Glasgow's East End as a support worker in July 2020 whilst employed by Baillieston Community Care Ltd.
Despite the ongoing coronavirus safety protocols which were put in place for all essential works, Omozik failed to wear an apron and a facemask while caring for an elderly woman.
She also used the same gloves to administer personal care and medication to the patient, known only as AA.
The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) said Omozik acted "dishonestly" by telling the patient she had applied a cream medication when she knew she hadn't.

When it came time to move the patient, Omozik failed to remove a slide sheet from underneath the woman and lifted her when she was sitting upright as opposed to lying down against the correct procedure.
After washing the woman's face, she then used a tea towel to dry her.
Omozik also failed to update the patient's MAR sheet, which details when she had medication, despite administering some to her.
The SSSC said the experienced carer had placed the woman at risk of physical or emotional harm.
It said she showed a "lack of care and empathy" for the elderly woman in her care.

A statement said: "While your conduct is serious it is also capable of being remedied. You have demonstrated some insight and remorse to most of the allegations.
"You have continued to work in the same role in the care sector for almost three years with no further issues which provide some reassurance that you have learned from these incidents.
"The public would be concerned if the SSSC as your regulator took no action in relation to this behaviour. A finding of current impairment is, therefore, necessary to uphold public confidence in the profession and the SSSC as an effective regulator."
Omozik was placed on a six-month warning period.
