A COMMUNITY is coming together to search for a missing man who vanished almost two weeks ago.

Evan Reid was taking a train home to Irvine from a night out in Glasgow when he got off the service at Paisley Gilmour Street.

The last confirmed sighting of the 31-year-old is on CCTV footage on Inchinnan Road in Paisley at 10.06pm on Saturday, March 25.

Glasgow Times:

Exactly two weeks on, members of the community are planning to search the Gleniffer Braes area on Saturday morning.

Organisers will be distributing posters and flyers to hand out and put up, as well as high visibility vests so that people can easily identify each other in the search groups.

People are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and warm clothing as the search areas are open and exposed.

Glasgow Times:

Walking poles are encouraged as they may be helpful when searching in heavy woodland growth so as not to disturb the area too much if vital information is found.

Volunteers will also be put into groups so that nobody is searching the area alone.

Anyone who wishes to join the search should meet at 11am on Saturday, April 8 at Robertson Park, Gleniffer Braes, Glenfield Road, Paisley PA2 8TE.

Anyone with any information on Evan's whereabouts should contact 101, quoting incident 4112 of March 25.
