THE body of a dog was found in a park in Paisley.
A member of the public discovered the dead animal in shallow water at Gleniffer Braes Country Park.
It's believed that the dog was taken to a vet.
Renfrewshire Council, Police Scotland and the Scottish SPCA have since been made aware.
An investigation is now being carried out by the SSPCA.
The animal welfare charity was unable to comment due to the ongoing probe.
A Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: “If you see a dead animal in a Renfrewshire street or public place, please let us know.
"You can report it to us online here or by calling 0300 300 0300.”
