A MAN is due to appear in court after class A drugs with a street value of £20,000 was recovered by police.
On Thursday, April 6, officers from the violence reduction unit based at Ferguslie Park Police Office were on proactive patrols when they stopped a vehicle in Renfrew.
Police found a significant amount of class A drugs and an offensive weapon.

The male driver of the car was arrested and officers carried out a search of his home under warrant.
More drugs were found and more than £42,000 in cash was seized.
The 28-year-old man was charged in connection with drug supply offences and possession of an office weapon.
He will appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.

PC Young-Gorry said: "Tackling illegal drug supply and apprehending those responsible remains a priority for police in Renfrewshire and Inverclyde and we continue to use all resources available to us to do so.
"Information received from members of the public is invaluable in the fight against serious and organised crime.
