UPDATE: Pensioner, 82, dies after road crash in Clydebank town centre
A MAN has been rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to Chalmers Street at around 11.45am this morning following a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
The male pedestrian was taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital by ambulance.

His condition is not known.
The road is currently closed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 11.45am on Saturday, April 15, to a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Chalmers Street, Clydebank.
"Emergency services attended and a man, the pedestrian, has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandria Hospital.
"The road is currently closed."
