Cops are continuing to search an area of Glasgow two days after a suspicious item was removed from a flat.
Officers and bomb disposal crews were called to Petershill Road in the city's Springburn on Monday morning at around 10am.
A cordon was erected in the area and residents of nearby flats were evacuated while investigations took place.
The force later confirmed that a 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear in court today.
Meanwhile, officers are still at the scene today carrying out further searches as a precaution.
A cordon remains in place and police are asking people to avoid the area.
Partial road closures remain on Petershill Road, Red Road, Oatfield Street and Dykemuir Street in the Springburn area.
Residents are being supported by the local authority.
