The Hydro has warned visitors of a 'no phones allowed' event.
American comedian Kevin Hart will perform his Reality Check show on Saturday night at the city venue.
And ahead of the gig, the venue has informed those attending that they will have to surrender their devices as they enter.
All of Hart's shows on his tour are phone free, an idea which aims to allow the audience to enjoy the show more and have fewer distractions.
A statement shared by the Hydro reads: "This is a phone-free show.
"Please print tickets before arrival, leave in plenty of time for extra security measures and bring a physical payment card - mobile payments won't be possible and we are a cashless venue."
Those with phones will be required to place them in a Yondr pouch, a secure pouch which locks mobile devices, cameras, smartwatches and recording devices.
They are unlocked at the end of the event.
Those who need to use their phone at all during the concert can do so in designated 'Phone Use Zones' located in the venue.
Anyone using their phone during the concert may be removed.
