A PRISONER at Barlinnie has died.
Richard Reston was found dead on April 29 at the East End jail.
The 46-year-old had been convicted at Glasgow Sheriff Court in 2022.
The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) announced his death on Tuesday and confirmed that police had been advised.
A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held into Reston's death.
An SPS spokesperson said: "Richard Reston, 46, a prisoner at HMP Barlinnie has died on April 29, 2023.
"He was convicted at Glasgow and Strathkelvin Sheriff Court in 2022.
"Police Scotland have been advised and the matter reported to the procurator fiscal.
"A Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held in due course."
