A MAJOR fast food chain has announced it will be opening a new restaurant in Barrhead and creating dozens of new jobs for the area.

Burger King has confirmed it will be opening at the new retail park on Glasgow Road in the town.

Announcing the news, the burger joint has said 30 new jobs will be up for grabs.

It is looking for new team members as well as three assistant managers and one shift manager.
